ABOUT

Cesar Enciso, Founder & CEO

As a second-generation Colombian American, Cesar grew up with the motto to live humbly, take nothing for granted, and work hard. His father sacrificed what he could for his children to have as many opportunities as possible and fresh out of college, Cesar locked down his first career position in sales.  After a few years, he felt the need to try something new and took a leap of faith joining the IT industry during the dot-com boom. Cesar was and can still be considered part of the minority in the industry. As he worked his way through different roles, he started to see first-hand where there were gaps in diversity. Now, raising his daughter he sees the same challenges he faced as a minority ringing true for women and he wanted to be a part of breaking this cycle.

Cesar had participated in several non-profits from Junior Achievement and YMCA Adventure Guides to Big City Mountaineers before deciding to create his own foundation. Women in Technology started as a way to take one step towards closing the divide of men and women in the technology industry.

It has now become something even more meaningful to him as he has found a way to pave the way for future talented women, while honoring individuals he had met in the industry who impacted his life. The foundation has created a way for their legacy of giving to carry on. Cesar hopes to bring education and mentorship to our next generation of female technology leaders and to empower them to know the sky is truly the limit.
